Anjar: City of the Ommayyad's built
in the VIII century(705-715). Its architecture
witnesses a transition between Byzantine and
Islamic art.
Baalbak:
God Baal's city, called Helliopolis
(city of the sun) by the Greeks. Roman temples
were dedicated to the trinty of Gods.
Becharre:
Birth place of Gebran Khalil Gebran (1883-1931)
writer, poet and painter, author of the Prophet,
its museum contains an interesting collection
of his paintings and sketches.
Byblos:
City of the first alphabet, Byblos has been
continuously inhabited from the neolithcal period
to our times.
Jeita:
Wonderful natural grottoes with stalactites
and stalagmites.
The Cedars:
The famous Cedars, thousands of years old (200m.high)
stand facing Kornet et Sawda. the highest summit
in Lebanon 3088m.
