Anjar:
City of the Ommayyad's built in the VIII century(705-715). Its architecture witnesses a transition between Byzantine and Islamic art.

Birth place of Gebran Khalil Gebran (1883-1931) writer, poet and painter, author of the Prophet, its museum contains an interesting collection of his paintings and sketches.

The famous Cedars, thousands of years old (200m.high) stand facing Kornet et Sawda. the highest summit in Lebanon 3088m.
